Which Way Adventures is a dynamic and well established tour operator specialising in overland and adventure expeditions covering southern, central and east Africa. We have been operating overland expeditions for many years and are members of the Southern Africa Tourism Services Association, the Tour and Safari Association of Namibia, the Southern African Rivers Association, and the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa. Our Overland Expeditions are journeys along itineraries designed to show travellers less visited areas of Southern, Central and East Africa. Many of the areas visited do not have the infrastructure that the typical package tourist would require. Our expeditions are aimed at the more adventurous and budget orientated traveller, and our groups number up to about twenty people from all walks of life, and of various nationalities. Although there are often couples and groups of friends who have booked together, most travellers are single and the male-female mix generally works out about even. Our main products comprise seven overland expedition routes: The Cape to Kenya (50 days); The Cape to Victoria Falls (19 days); The Namibian Experience (20 days); The South African Explorer (19 days) as well as three new shorter routes: The Vic Falls Connection; The Desert and Delta Expedition; and South Africa on the Go. The shorter routes are between 11 and 14 days in duration. The Vic Falls Connection and the Desert and Delta Expedition are aimed at travellers with limited time available who still want to see the southern African highlights, and South Africa on the Go is for more adventurous participants, and includes hikes, canoeing, opportunities for bungi jumping (choice of two sites) and paragliding. A feature of our expeditions is that where possible we include excursions in the tour price: for example, our Cape to Kenya, Cape to Victoria Falls and Delta and Desert expeditions include a 4 day fly-in Okavango Delta safari. All of our overland expeditions are designed for full participation, departure dates are guaranteed, and our crews are registered with the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa. Private charters and custom made expeditions for groups also form a large part of our operations. Other adventure options are available in the form of wild water rafting and canoeing in South Africa on the Doring, Breede and Orange rivers. These trips range from one to five days. We also offer a variety of soft adventure country lodge tours to selected destinations in the Western Cape Province (including the Garden Route) and Namaqualand, appealing to those who prefer more refinement and luxury. The country lodge tours are operated in air-conditioned sedans or microbuses. Our fleet of trucks now number 15, and all are powered by reliable Mercedes Benz engines. They are purpose built by ourselves in our workshop to suite our needs. They are fitted with between 18 and 23 forward-facing seats, and incorporate kitchens, enclosed and lockable luggage storage areas, water tanks and other features designed to make overland travel convenient and comfortable, whilst remaining rugged enough to suit local conditions. As the market becomes more active, our experience and highly competitive low prices ensure that we retain the edge. We are also involved at many levels in ensuring that our resources are used in a responsible and sustainable manner.
